Some like it hot. And why not? It’s an option that certainly presents a host of amazing possibilities—from leisurely summer picnics and weekends at the beach to water park excursions and evening strolls in flip flops or bare feet.
Maybe it’s tomorrow’s expected high of 90° F (on Long Island, NY). Or perhaps it’s because—at the anticipation of intense humidity—my hair has already puffed up like that of a prized show poodle. Whatever it is, even though summer has yet to officially arrive, I’m looking forward to the first hint of a crisp, fall day!
So if, like me, you develop a sweat mustache when the thermometer merely flirts with 80° F, a contract locale with cool(ish) climes likely presents a refreshing alternative. (Fear not, warm weather lovers! We’ll be featuring some things just for you in the coming weeks.) Luckily, as the following demonstrates, there are plenty of cool places to consider for a summer assignment.
